My experiance has been a rip off. Just starting out I didnt know much. I was looking for a wetdry system and I was also new to the area, so didnt know where all to go. They were close. Well they sold me a wet dry for my 125 for $400.00. Well that is about typical other than the fact it is non other than a 20 gallon aquarium with a Rio 2700 pump with an overflow and drip system. Although works fine. I just feel that it should have been a proffesional system for that price. Also their Live rock is sold at $8.50 a lb. I bought two pieces before realizing how much less I could have bought it at. Well that has been my experiance anyway.

I now do almost all of my shopping at The Reef Tank in Fairfax. I will go to others also but I know more about what I am doing now than what I did 4 or 5 months ago.

If your ever up in maryland, check out Marine Care Specialists. Is very small but wall to wall reef tanks. Tons of tanks filled with corals and clams. Really neat place.

I go in. Ask prices and walk out. I have yet to see a person buy anything. I've made several trips over the past years since close to work. Not sure where all the livestock goes ?

Cool thanks cromis. I will check it out sometime. The Reef Tank has been a great find down here so far. Only prob is they are small and dont keep much in stock. But the guys there as far as knowledge and friendless and prices as far as I know can't be beat in the immediat area. Hey twist where do you normally go?

yeah, I think MCS is in Rockville but Im not sure. Very wide coral selection and clams. However they did have a leopard shark in a reef. Im down in Lynchburg Va but have alot of family in NVA so I am there often. Will have to check out the reef tank. Basically all I went to last time was Petco, Wallys, and Marine Care Specialists. Another good store, in randallstown, is Aquarium Center.

Marine care specialties is out of their minds w/ pricing as well. They are located between Rockville & Gaithersburg on RTE 355.

I got stuck for a few things - So I heard about this place and was in the area.

Live sand - $5.00 - The sand was not very alive.

URI VHO 03 bulb - $42.00

The Reeftank in VA charges $2.50 for live sand and the bulbs are just under $30 a pop.

Marine Care does not open until 12 during the week and the store was a dump.......my experience - yuck.....I shan't be back.
