150 gal buckets for $37, this is a good deal compared to the prices of the boxes. I can have as many as desired by next week. Please PM me if interested.

Thanks,
Richsco

Is it the Bio Assy... Without the chlorine remover? If it is, I might be interested. The boxes are cheaper over here, but they have the chlorine remover I don't want.

Not sure on the bio assay, I will check and post again!

Thanks for the interest.

Hung's got this stuff in the box for $35... unfortunately it's not the bio-assay. Is there negative effects from having the chlorine remover, other than it being unecessary w/ RO/DI?

Could you tell me exactly what you are meaning/where this mix is coming from, because it says right on the mix that chlorine remover is added to each batch. Not real sure on what you are looking for. Thanks

There are two types of Crystal Sea, one with and one w/out a de-chlorinator. If it says "Bio-Assay" it does not contain a de-chlorinator. I have attached a pic of a box of "Bio-Assay", there is a sticker on the left side indicating it is bio assay.

Found it, I will look into seeing if I will have the right stuff. Is the $35 150gal/ box a special deal right now, or is that what Hung has been selling it at normally? Thanks

That's his every day price. The Bio- Assy is even cheaper at Premium Aquatics. I'm planning on a road trip unless I can find it the same price here.

I see, well I will have the buckets for now (not bio-assay) but in the future there will be boxes also ($30.00 each), just for now the buckets are going to work out better for storage. We will look into it, hopefully we can get it worked out and get a good deal for everyone.

Thanks for the information.

Ya, I guess mine does too. Maybe we sould be asking for the lab grade?? Anyway there's two diff kinds.

Here is the low down. Yes there are two different kinds of mix. One with the dechlorinator, one without. We have talked to the lab tech about this at the manufacturer. The bio-assay is $1.00 more per bag, and they only carry it in the boxes. It has not been proven that the declorinator would be detrimental to corals, inverts, or anything if you use it. This stuff has been on the market forever and almost every salt mix is using the same dechlorinating agent. So, if you are wondering about your mix, the true bio-assay should be in the box/bag with no dechlorinator. If you would like the buckets, please let me know before the end of this week, I know they are more expensive, but much easier to handle and keep out moisture. Just a thought!

Thanks,
Richsco

Also,
Unless you are using precise, high tech testing measures, he said that you would not be able to tell the difference between the two mixes!!!!! So take the LAB GRADE mix for what it is I guess??
