Anyone have the sand that I think is South Down??? I need I think 2 bags for my 72 gallon... Start with crush coral and top with the sand.. If you are in cedar rapids that would be even better..

Thanks

I don't have any extra sand but I do want to point something out to you.
If you put crushed coral on the bottom it won't take long and it will work it's way to the surface where it will collect detritus.
AND
With fine sand mixed in with it vacuuming it will be very hard to without sucking up the fine sand.
Have you considered just using sand?
Are you planning on setting up a deep sand bed?

I thought it would be better to have the already seeded crushed coral in there.. Maybe not but I thought I could do a think layer of the already seasoned stuff then top it with the south down sand.

You can still seed the tank with the crushed coral, Just fill a womans nylon stocking and lay it on the new sandbed for a week or two.

John, that's a great idea! I wish I'd thought of that, as I dumped a cup of crushed coral into my 90 in order to seed it.
