About Morgan Lidster
Morgan Lidster has been an active aquarium hobbyist for over 20 years. In
the mid-eighties, his interest shifted to captive reef systems. After earning
his BS in Biology, Lidster visited the home of Dr. Walter Adey and became
interested in the use of Algal Turf Scrubbers. The result was Inland Aquatics,
the largest inland mariculture facility in the US.

Overall, the facility houses over 13,000 sq. feet and nearly 40,000 gallons
of reef displays and culture systems. Systems range from 40 gallons to over
11,000 gal. Most of these systems also benefit from non-traumatic water flow;
Refugia; and deep oolitic sand beds. These microcosms are used to culture
over one hundred species of marine fish, coral, and algal species. Most notably,
Inland is proud to have pioneered commercial culture of the Banggai Cardinal,
P. kauderni.

Lidster lives in an apartment overlooking the facility, and has served as
manager of all facility operations, 24/7, since construction began. This laboratory
has afforded Lidster a unique perspective on captive reef ecosystems and the
organisms imported from wild reefs for such systems.
