Tag said he has two and I have two other cases too. Hope you get that money back. Do you think you can have everything ready and then come here and put it in one of the cases that we have if it fits? It might take you 30 minutes to put them in the right case if it fits. I have two computers that are running but older and i don't care if you take the case. I can have the monitor, mouse, keyboard and wires ready for you on a table if you want. It's up to you and if you want to take these cases and do try to see if they will work that is fine too.

I think that the club should have a raffle to guess whose case is going to be the magic combination of motherboard and case (G) = just kidding, but Murphy's Law sure is in full swing with sixpackrc's efforts!
PS:Did anyone venture a guess as to what would happen trying to drive 2 four foot vho's with a tar ballast that was driving two 6 foot vhos?

Tag I tried posting this the other night.
I sure hope you didn't wire it..for just two bulbs.
You need to run 3 four footers on that. you need to keep number of feet feet in bulb length the same. say 4 x 3 footers 3 x 4 footers 6 x 2 footers.
Is how ya have to wire it.

I haven't tried anything with the 2 X 6 foot tar ballast. I kinda "intuited" that I'd likely fry something by trying to drive a "shorter" set of VHO's. I had also been told though that tar ballasts wouldn't work on other than their intended "audience", so I didn't know about the 3 X 4 footer setup. That would actually be PERFECT for the new hood, if it can be done. Can I just bring the ballast, endcaps, some extra wire, and bulbs to the swap? It'd be a huge deal if we (read you guys) could get 3 four footers firing on that ballast.

Thanks! They're building a bloody computer (a project of which I am a participant and supporter), so why not assemble some actual *reef* equipment too! I don't want to work on the hood itself, just get the wiring such that the VHO's work.
Of course, I'd admit to being slightly biased on the issue (g).
