Hey guys,
This is my first time putting a photo into a post so hopefully it works okay. I figured since I haven't had anyone over yet (except for Bob briefly) that it was time I tried to share a pic. The yellow leather at the top-middle was picked up from Adam at the meeting Friday night. I crossed my fingers and split it into two before I acclimated to my system. Both halves started to spread polyps again last night so the surgery appears to have been successful. :D

LOL Rob. You can't give those away can you? It's kind of like me with green button polyps.

Those are some great shots Tom.
You have an excellent arrangement of rock in that tank too!
My tank isn't set up yet, but Rob is pusing those polyps :)
Take care.

Congrats on the great looking tank pics. You did a great job splitting that leather. How did you go about it?

There's really no difficulty when it comes to cutting/fragging soft corals. Generally they'll do fine as long as you make a clean cut.
I've used a razor blade in the past, but I prefer a sharp pair of kitchen shears, which is what I used on this particular leather.
I actually had one of these in my 55. I'd had it for over a year and it was doing beautifully. Unfortunately, it was the only coral that didn't survive the switch-over to the 90 gallon. I used all new freshly mixed saltwater for the 90 so that may be the reason, but everything else faired great.
