I didn't get a look at the stand but for the tank and stand this is a good deal unless the tank has bad scratches or something like that. Go for it, the bigger the better!!!! Skip

before you commit to the tank, give a call to a pet store in mrytle beach calle PET CENTER.
I bought my 75g AGA for $90.00 about a year ago.
I was there during the weekend, and saw a 120, not sure about the price, give them a call.

I agree with skip. Bigger is Better although a 90 is slightly deep for pc's in my opinion. unless you put in a deep sand bed.

I agree bigger is better, I tried to convinced my wife to upgrade to a 90 or 120. but she didn't buy it.

Did you ask about the 120 Gal?

When I upgrade aquariums, I wont be using pcs. I may use pcs for the actinic but i'm thinking 2 250w MH. I plan on using my 55-gal for fish and zoos only. I am in no rush, I want to acquire everything else slowly as to not tip off the wife.

One more question, I have an old 175w MH setup in the closet. What would that be good for? Seems everyone is using at least 250W these days.

And the 120-gal was 499.00 !!

I have heard that the only reason to increase wattage from 175 to 250 would depend on the depth of your tank. A buddy of mine has 2 175watt MH in his 90gallon. I guess its up to you.
If you plan on upgrading, I might be interested in your old MH. Let me know when you do :)

Im not even using it:) I had a 30 gallon LR mushroom tank in '97 and thats were this came from. The bulb I have with it is a 5500k. I just fired it up so it still works, im not sure what I will do with it.

I did a little research, the MH ballast is a probe start. Im not even sure what the big difference is except you cant use certain bulbs. Anyone with advantages /disadvantages?

I say put the MH on a prop system! More tanks, more tanks! I really like the footprint of the 120 and may upgrade to it one day but I will prbably just add more tanks instead of upgrading.
BTW Marcus, the MHs on my 75 are 175 watters. I am running 10,000k bulbs though. Later, Skip
