Sorry for the goofy title... wanted searches to work on this!

Anyways, does anyone know of a good source of captive raised or bred fish, specifically hepatus tangs, excluding the average clowns and dottybacks? Or even anyone doing larval grow out as a personal endevour? Besides the price, it seems like an awesome solution to buying fish pulled directly from the reef. I know Mandarinfish (P. sychiropus) have been bred in captivity before, but I haven't seen them available, either.

Thanks for the help...

The blue tangs are (were?) being collected as larval juveniles in the Solomon Islands and then being sold through ORA I think. I don't know if this is still going on or not. I would guess it's pretty seasonal. There's also a company in Tahiti I think that does this.

The blue tangs were not sold through ORA. There were sold through C-quest.

Those tangs were collected in the Solomon Islands, and grown for a short time in a tank. They are not collected as larvae. As Mary said there is a company doing this in Tahiti as well.
