View Full Version : Why so quick to close threads??

I just noticed that the thread re: polygamy was closed. It didn't seem that it was too contentious, nobody was directly (or even indirectly IMHO) calling anyone any names, and it generally seemed relatively harmless...

I've noticed that the moderators here seem really quick to close threads. Sometimes for an apparently good reason, sometimes for no apparently good reason. Perhaps people wouldn't wonder why the thread is closed if a more thorough explanation of why it's being locked down is provided.

So why so quick to close the thread??

When I judge a thread to have run it's course, or strayed from what I want in my lounge, I close it...You are free to open another and discuss whatever{other than board policy}; but, this one is closed:)

Hi Kat,

Like Jim said, it's a judgement call that the moderators have to make. I have just setup a new forum for member feedback for these types of questions.
