Maybe we can help you out on this forum, where are the bubbles originating from?

do you have baffles in your sump before the water gets pumped back to your tank?

as long as the bubbles are not going to your main tank there should be no problems. Are they going to your main tank?

Ok what do you have between the first baffle and where your water goes into main tank? any LR or sand or anything. The baffles do they overlap? meaning does first baffle go below where second baffle comes up? How big is the sump?

the sump is 20 long i have a fuge inbetween the first and second baffle then the 3rd baffle is raised of the bottom so wate rlfows under, then the last baffle is so the water goes under.

hmm do you have microbubbles between the one that goes under and the one that goes over?

Try putting a filter bag on the overflow hose outlet to the sump, this will trap loose debris and reduce bubbles flowing in the system. Mine builds up in the bag and releases in larger air pockets instead of microbubbles.

yeah what batt said =]

haev tired that, but the bags slowed the overflow down WAY to much and then the return pump was pump the water back to the tank faster than the overflow could handle.

Look into setting the sump return pump down a bit and getting into closed loop for more flow, this should eliminate the water having to move so fast through the sump.

Nick,
If you are having problems still, two things,

Check the plumbing after the pump, you may have a little pinhole that is causing a venturi effect and sucking air into the line. A little more glue will do the trick.

You may also put some live rock in between the baffles. This will slow the water down and give the bubbles time to rise to the surface.
