How about it. If the swap was say in Toledo, so that the (large) MI reefers club and the Ohio guys could combine into one massive frag swap, would you make the drive? I know I would....

The MI swap is scheduled for the day after ours, so I doubt any one from MI will attend ours or vise versa. If we were able to coordinate a "mega swap" next time around would you make the drive?

with out a doubt since your driving right:D

but seriouosly yes I would make the drive. or we could do 2 swaps a year one there and one here don't want to leave out Pitsburg, cincy, kentucy and our traveler from NC.

We should be able to coordinate 2 major swaps it was just dumb bad luck that these were back to back.

Sure I'd drive 3 hours to Toledo--I'll be driving 3 hours from Cleveland this time.

My dad and I drove to Pitts for our first frag swap, I would drive 3 hours for a swap anytime!

I like having the swap here, we are CENTRAL Ohio after all, and I think we are going to get plenty of people at this one, so we keep one here and you can organize one somewhere else another time of year if you want. One belongs in the capital city.

I agree with the Capital City Idea but lets make it the Capital of Indiana. I think we should have a Midwest swap in Indianapolis. Louisville currently has a swap, CMAS (Chicago Marine Aquarium Society) has one in Chicago and we have the Michigan one and the Ohio One. If we went with an Indy one we could invite Central Illinois as well. Let me know what you think?

I think the biggest issue is just where to have it if someone has a place that can hold all of us then GREAT. The one on the 27th we'll be able to do 150-200 people easy The larger the better the more people the more diversity especially when they come from different places. IMO that's what these things are all about.

What about attending one of ours. You will get to see reefers from NY, NJ, OH, MD, VA, And PA. Next one is October 12th and zip code 17701 :)

that is a possibility even though it is a 6.5 hr drive. Maybe the next one I'm working that day.

I would definitely make it for a Toledo swap. But I often drive through Toledo on my way to MI anyway. I used to live in Lansing, and I'll tell you, if we have a swap in Toledo you would probably get 10 - 20 people from Detroit - maybe more. Maybe up to 10 from Lansing and a few from Kzoo and Grand Rapids. Some of the guys from Detroit bring a LOT of frags though.
