Coral Reef IMAX Movie

The IMAX Movie Coral Reef is playing at the Norwalk Aquarium till Oct. I read that they filmed it in the Great Barrier reef.

The movie was worth it. They talk about the dying reefs through out the world and the problems with bleaching. The cinematography was unreal. I have new ideas on setting up my new tanks.

My first IMAX movie, it's incredible, the size and the sound. The movie itself was nice, i thought there'd be a little more video time focused on the reef, but still a great movie, made me want to Snorkel soon, or learn to Scuba...

Great eye-candy in this movie! But makes you worry about the future of the reefs. One of my favorite things to do is snorkel, and I hope my grandchildren get to see some living reefs instead of dead ones. I think keeping reef tanks is important to save many species from extinction.

I haven't been to the maritime aqauriums in a long time, they have a really cool yellow-head jawfish tank with a front that is partially sloped so you can look down at them. Way cool.
