I'm a first time poster with what is probably a somewhat basic question from a novice reef nut. I have a 110 gallon reef tank with mostly soft corals and a few hardy stony corals that all came along with the deal. I also have a beautiful purple and yellow tang in the tank - also hitchhikers from the previous owner. The tank has been running for about 16 months, and all has gone really well. I got a small chunk of xenia from Inland, and it initially looked great, then shrank, divided into 3 sections, and has never regained its former stature...Water parameters look good to me, everyone else is happy and growing, so what am I missing? ANy suggestions would be helpful.

I can't really offer any better help other than some tanks just dont like Xenia. Seems like a fluke , some tanks it does great , others it just shrivels and dies. HTH
