Did I read that the nasty piney point water that they dumped out in the gulf was heading for the keys?
I think I read a quote from a park person with concern for the corals.

Are you refering to all that water from the phosphate plant (i think thats the plant)?

It kills me that they are just dumping it in the gulf.

How about the tire reefs that appeared on the Tribs Metro section the other week.

Yes fish
thats the plant.I think it's the same plant that had the dam brake, on it's treatment pond from the heavy rain about five yrs ago.The resulting acid spill washed down the Alafia river and killed alot of fish (snook etc)
And who knows in the long term, what it caused.
So they were trying to keep that from happening again.
