"ROBZ" Robie Sayan and here's his website http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze2vyy7/index.htm and here's some recent pics he posted here on RC. There are more located at the original thread http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=218956. Many people along with myself agree that this guy deserves TOTM. What do you think?

Beautiful Tank.

I'd like to swap him for some Zoanthids, some of those are sweet.

Do you honestly think that tank is nicer? Sorry, that tank doesn't hold a candle to ROBZ tank. It is a nice tank but not the caliber of Robie's.

ROBZ - A prime TOTM specimen!

How does TOTM get selected? I concur that this should definitely be a TOTM!

that tank only looks better bc it has more actinic lighting then reefmasters

So it has nothing to do with it being slamed full of exotic SPS corals? Reefmasters tank is very nice, don't get me wrong but it appears to be mostly an LPS and softie tank. Did you see ROBZ's sand bed? It's loaded with exotic zoo's and ricordea, and that's just his sand bed. The whole tank is unreal.

That tank is very nice yachtboy but the overall look and the aquascaping, amount of healthy corals, and selection of colors and fish totally blow reefmasters away. Maybe like you said, reefmaster needs to add some actinic lighting, get few more things in there to color it up a bit more and it could be just as nice, just in a different way. It is also hard to really judge pictures that are that small.

I also give a vote for ROBZ's tank to be TOTM... a fellow reef club members tank would be awesome to be up there, even though I haven't seen it in person.

I'm sure the votings already in by now though :D, atleast for August it is.

IMO, ROBZ's tank is probably the nicest tank on RC.
Maybe this could help us find other canidates. Is there another tank that you feel is nicer than this one? If so, please share with us.

There some real outstanding reefs here in RC.
But what Rob has accomplished with his 90 gallon tank is short of a miracle.

A great selection of stonies and soft corals with a plethra of colors, all orquestrated in harmony.

Robz's reef is WORLD CLASS and it has my vote for tank of the month.

Rob since day one of seeing your reef you have been an inspiration.

The more I look at this tank the more I am absolutely awestruck by it. It is just so well laid out and the varied shapes and colors of corals just make such an impact. Wow!

I couldn't agree more. Here is another one of those 'Dream Tanks' that go in my 'Dream Tank' folder on my PC.

Truly unbelievably beautiful.

Just 'whoa....'.

Nice corals, but the tank is so very crowded and needs to be upgraded to a larger tank. No room for coral growth.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Beautiful tank!

I'm curious, how would one get the detritus out of a tank so full?

Isn't that what most reefers want? A crowded tank? Couldn't he simply frag down any overgrowth as needed (not being a smarta** here just seriously asking a question).

If a crowded tank means it's time for an upgrade a lot of folks would have 1,000 gallon tanks by now ;).

I'm sorry, I just don't follow that logic. As far as I can tell, he has reached perfection in a tank this size.

*shrug*

IMHO --

I would think a reef is just like a garden, at some point you've got to prune. I don't see how you can just let corals grow indefinately, unless either you are going to keep going to larger and larger tanks, or keep a very small number of corals so there is a lot of space between them.

Although I'm very new to the hobby, my plan is to go, within reason, for a very dense look, and prune the corals to keep everything in check.

You look at it like it is very crowded and I look at it like he is done. How many of us can say that? All he has to do is sit back and ejoy it and break frags for gooooood friends like me :D to keep it pruned.
