Im making my new sump for my tank. I was going to head off to a plastic place mentioned in one of the below threads, but if anyone has any scrap acrylic they wanna get rid of that would be great. Doesnt have to be big- i just need to add some baffles.

Clwn

Heck, if you're just doing baffles, use Lexan from Home Depot. You don't need true acrylic for baffles...way cheaper too.

Last time when I was at Home depot.
Store manager told me I could have as much as scrap piece I wanted.
Most was around 4" x 24" size.
You can talk to manager at home depot.

clwnphish, what color, size, and thickness are you looking for? Mmy selection is limited, but I turn over gaylords of scrap acrylic, and polystyrene to the recycler monthly.

Where are you located Chris? I'm doing the same project and can use some scrap pieces to build my baffles...

Cheers!

The office is next door in Warrenville. The sizes and colors are limited, due to the products we make, and the scrap after lasering. Larger volume scrap is 1/10, 1/8, 3/16" in clear. I have red, blue, white, yellow in 1/8", but very limited, and small sizes.

Hi Criccio,

I would love to get some scraps - thicker is better, but I'd be grateful for what you can offer!

Could I get a few scrap pieces of the 3/16" clear plastic? Have pieces that are about 10" long and 4 to 6 inches wide?

Cheers!

How many pieces would you like kaiyokanman28? What sizes are you looking for nancysnuwave?

Criccio,

Would it be okay to have 3 pieces for baffles, and possibly 4 or 5 more pieces of the same size to make surface skimmer boxes? If you're really limited, the 3 pieces for the baffles would more than suffice. *smiles* Just thought I'd press my luck a little and see if there was scrap around to make some surface skimmer boxes.

THANK YOU!!! :celeb3:

Cheers!

Let me check what's on the floor, I think we just had a bunch of scrap picked up. It may take several days to generate some scrap to cut these pieces. What's your ideal size 10" x 6" x 3/16"?

Yes, that size would be WONDERFUL. Take your time, Chris. I greatly appreciate the generousity.

Cheers!
