Well, bring it along to the Friday July 11th MASLAC meeting! :D
Our speaker will be Jonathan Lowrie, whom will be speaking on Sand Diversity. Bring some critter and some sand and we will put it up on the big screen at take a look. This promising to be a interesting journey into the 'inner space' of you very own aquarium.
Jonathan is a lifetime hobbyist and lecturer who has done extensive research on the animals that inhabit established aquarium sandbeds. He will be using a microscope to examine and project specimens from aquariums.
Please bring your stuff! Find out what's lurking in the tank!

Reefer's at the Hollywood Bowl:
July 19, 2003 we will be heading to the Hollywood Bowl for their presentation of the Blue Planet. The Blue Planted is a Discovery Channel original program on the seas. We will be seeing it on their giant screen with live accompaniment from the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
MASLAC's Grunion Run!:
August 13, 2003 we will have our first Grunion Run! This is where them little fish run/flop onto the beach! Now, if you want to pick up the little fishies, and you are over 18, you MUST get a fishin' license. (They are supposed to be great fried with a little butter!)
Now, mother nature doesn't always co-operate so some patience is required. The scout fish decide if the time's good or not. It's up to them.
I see a fun evening hangin' out at the beach and having fun. Details, and the secret beach location, will be announced at a MASLAC meeting.
And in November we will be having our Fall Tank Tour! If you think it's time to show off all those wonderful corals and fish and would like to be a part of the tour, please contact Catherine L.
