hehe, that other thread was getting WAY too long =)))

Here's the Russell's Lionfish that IBASSFSH was asking about. I just got it last week from the Fish Bowl in Jackson (even traded back 3 xenia frags for it).

Here's another cool pic of it w/ my Orange Tree sponge. As the comment says " Sorry for the bad razor scraping job".

Here's the 30g (36"x12"x18") full tank shot. Also, note that I will be getting a bigger tank for these guys soon. Not the best quality pic... but, it'll do.

Dang, Layne! You definitely got it going on with the coralline. Nice, man.

Hellova deal on that trade!

Did you ever read Frank Marini's article in the November edition of Reefkeeping (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-11/fm/feature/index.htm) about all the lionfish? Great article.

Layne the Lion fish looks great. Glad he is doing well. Donald at the Fish Bowl brought his personal one in for sale the other day. It looks just like yours but his is grown rather large.

wow... that is a great article. Thanks.

Coralline: I bought this already covered pieces of live rock from the Fish Bowl (Tim and Robbie past owners). They've always stayed a nice color of purple. I get more coralline growth under these two 20w NO lights than my MH+VHO =) ... which I've heard before. I do water changes every 6 months in this 30g.

Xenia / russell lionfish trade: The lionfish was listed $45... and my xenia frags did have hundreds of polyps on them (biggest was size of a baseball extended).... and I did trade in two bags of green grape and needle caulerpa..... and I gave the 3rd big bag to IBASSFSH. All that caulerpa came out of my 20g fuge. =))))

I am glad your tanks are all still doing well. Ours are too so far. (knock on wood) We added a Kole tang to our 75 and a Sailfin tang to our 90 gallon tank.
