This 23" tall unit is made from all heavy cast acrylic-no breakable plastic. This has been very effective on a 180 gallon tank and can handle anything up to 250 gallons(be careful of overrated skimmers typical of this hobby)It has a valve to vary the output for your specific setup as well a ball valve to regulate pump flow.Includes the odor-free overflow unit that holds about a quart of skimmate. Most other skimmers require daily emptying of the skimmed liquid- a messy chore. This container, which attaches with an included tube, will hold 1-3 weeks worth of waste, depending on you tank output. It also has an auto shutoff feature that, when full, will prevent the skimmer from producing more waste. You can also use carbon for odor within the overflow though I never needed to. pump not includedprice $200

I am setting up a new 180. Would the skimmer handle that effectively? I will have a good sized bio-load. I have a Euroreef CS6-2 now, but I want to go external. Please let me know as I am very interested.

Bravo,

if you're going to go external, how much are you asking for your CS6-2?

Thanks

Josh

sure you don't want to brake up the waste collector and the skimmer. I alread have the skimmer.
