The John Guest upgrade for the Aqua C EV Skimmers allows the user to attach a tube to the skimmer. This tube is typically from the effluent of a Ca Reactor or from an Ozonizer.

The reason why one would attach such a thing to your skimmer is from a Ca Reactor it allows excess Carbon Dioxide to be neutralized thus increasing the pH of the effluent or if attached to an Ozonizer to increase the ORP of the system.
