One of my Xenia colonys hasnt been doing too well. I decided it may be in a spot to low in the tank. When I picked it up. there was a small white snail attached to the tissue of the xenia. I could not tell which was forward or back, but The shell gad a syphon at one end, and the wide end comes to a sharp point. I guessed it was a bad thing, so its freezing now.
Think it was a whelk?
I got some pics, Ill post them later

Xenia began to recover shortly after I pulled the little blood sucker off. Cool shell, too bad it was a bad guy

Hi Hes,

A point of order. It couldn't have been a blood sucker... Xenia have no blood to suck. It was likely just eating tissue.

I would like to see the pictures.

Cheers, Ron
