Scott F. and Nadine stopped by this afternoon. He picked up that green ulta crocea and I sent him off with a bunch of frags (no charge in case anyone is checking up on me)

Tanks are doing great, I spend about 4 hours cleaning both skimmers and doing my semi-annual water testing today. I didn't want to go out, it is hot!! My chiller on the 150gal was on for about 4-6 hours yesterday, the chiller on the 80gal is another story. I need to get a new temp controller, the built-in one the Westcoast Aquanitics is a POS. maybe the 1/6 HP just can't handle the heat, it was on almost the entire day.

I can't belive Scott F took corals from you, I offer him anything in my tank and he never came by?

I am leaving for Arkansas tomorrow, will be there for the week. I hope I will make it back in time for the Friday meeting\traffic. Are you ready for the frag swap yet?

All I think I need to do for next weekend is pick up some beverages, and clean the tanks.

Can't clean the tanks until next weekend - They grow algae so quickly.

This week I have been working with building a surge system for the prop tanks. It's not as easy as I had hoped. I may have hit a small block - when it cools off I will try again to work out some details.

Corals are doing well with all the light from the past week. Still loosing greens both inside and outside - Not sure what the reason is anymore. I got the calc reactor burning about 1.5" per week now.

You going to make it next Sunday or is Cindy making all your deliveries again?

We are down to one "Turtle" in the house, 3 Big "Tortoises" in the yard, 1 huge macaw (pictured) and my tiny little dogs.

Pierce, hows the weather in Arkansas? Do you ever have a chance to check out any of the LFS in the area? Just wondering what prices are like outside of our "import area"

The weather is actually not to bad, not humid at all this week and no TS. The bad part is the smell of pigs\chicken\cows out by the airport. I guess it is better then Plano TX, Cindy is there right now, Hot and Humid.

I looked up a few LFS and haven't had a chance to get away from work early enough to check them out. I should be back in August, maybe I will have more time then.

Do you want to stop by my place before or after the swap? I am only 2 miles away.

Pierce, depends, I told Dave I would charge his chiller up sometime before the swap so I may get there early. I am going to try to go on Thursday or Friday if I'm not working 12hrs on those days. I'll talk to you at the meeting if you make it in time, if not, PM me your info and I'll call.

What kind of fish are those -- looks like your dropping back to freshwater and trying to get some bleeding heart tetras in your tank.

I haven't seen those - but will keep my eyes open. Are they supposedly around or is it just a photo out of a book.

For the clams - I will look for the purple stripes for you.

No those are blue\black chromis from HI, they are gone, fished out the last one tonight.

I don't know why I keep buying fish from that place in Gardena, it is so much of a hit and miss. I hate the two hour drive to get there on the weekends too.
