Looking for a place here in town that sells acrylic supplies or do you know somebody that makes sumps? Looking for a sump about 36x18x20. or if you have a 50 gal. tank you want to sell let me know.
Thanks,

Scuba Dan, you can get acrylic at American Plastics which has a store in St Pete (off 49th street near Ulmerton Rd) and a store in Tampa (don't know exact location - check phone book). They have many thicknesses and will cut it to the dimensions you need. They also have all the glues, applicators etc you need. They will not build it for you however if you tell them it is for holding water.....I have purchased acrylic from them for a couple of DIY sump type projects and several large sheets for a patio project. They seem to be reasonable and accomodating, but acrylic is not that cheap! You can definately save over buying premade stuff though. HTH

Scuba Dan,

If you decide to get a prebuilt acrylic sump, check out Fish and other Ichthy Stuff in Oldsmar. John sells sumps there for a reasonable price. His sumps include a place for filter socks as well. The only thing is that his acrylic guy gets backed up at times so depending on what size you need, availability may or may not be an issue.
