get a truck and drive to the "southdown factory"

I was there about a year and a half ago, somewhere north of palm beach. PM me and I'll see if I can get you the info from my buddy who I drove up there with.

We filled the back of a Ford F-250 full (like 800 pounds worth) for about $40 or $50

I need about 100lbs of sand as well. I would be willing to make a trip to the "factory" if I could be sure and unload all of the sand ASAP. I will see if ther is any other interest

Here is the Aragonite (SD) distributor.

AES Atlantis
20 Avenue M Extension East
Fort Pierce, Florida 34950

Do not tell them it's for your tank.
All the SD you will ever need.

I can get a truck...that's no problem...If we could split the expenses that would be great.

DjFrankie...sounds good to me PM me so that we can set up a day to drive up. I am in west palm just off of 95. I assume that we will need large containers to put the sand in. Also does anyone else need sand?

I think it would be a good idea to start a new thread to see if anyone else wants some and can help out..what do you think?

Also we should call them up first and make sure they allow us to come by and pick up some sand for athat "sand box" we're building..

Hi,
I'm in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area.
Looking for approx. 100lbs.
Don't have a truck, but would be willing to meet down there and help with the effort/expenses.

thanks WPBFishGuy, I was struggling to find that information.

All I have to say is that place is incredible, if we could somehow bad all that sand and sell it at the $6 per bag HD gets for their "playsand" we'd be millionaires several times over.

I'd be interested in about a buckets worth if djfrankie could meet me somewhere between Hollywood and Miami. It doesn't make much sense for me to drive to WPB for a bucket of sand.

keep me posted.

I can give you a bucket of sand but you will have to drive to Miramar for it.

I know someone who needs SD for his 120g, he'd be happy to take some off of anyones hands who is grabbing it. LMK.
