Hello, how do I get a giant elephant ear to attach to a rock??when he curls up the water flow takes him off it...how long does it usually take for them to attach?:(

I have an elephant ear, they don't like a lot of current. You may try putting him in an area of low to no current and see if he attaches to a rock.Keep me posted.

Give it at least a few weeks, under a net.

I have an elephant ear in the frag tank right now. He is free-floating because he didn't want to attach, even after several weeks under a net. These guys are stubborn mushrooms!

I don't want to net him cause it just stresses him out...I reduced the flow in his area, but still he has'nt attached..STUBBORN? For sure!!But he is my favorite..he's so beautiful when expanded

It will take some time for him to reattach.Just keep him in were there is no flow and in time he will reattach himself.I agree don't put a net over him that will just stress him out.

Finally....he kept trying to go to the right of the tank..so I adjusted the rocks and let him go where he wanted..seems happy this morning

Patience finally paid off.I have learned to let corals go were they want to go they will be happier. In time he will attach himself to a rock.
