Canadian CITES Animal listings (http://www.cites.ec.gc.ca/eng/sct8/control_tt_e.cfm)

I have been searching the CITES page on the CANADA CUSTOMS website and do not find any species that we like to keep in our reefs on it.

Has anyone actually tried to import a marine animal themselves? Not through the mail but actually in person?

I am going to phone my wife's cousin (Custom officer in Windsor, ON)

valleye,

I'm pretty sure most reefers like to keep stony corals (SCLERACTINIA).... :)

All hard corals and reef rock are listed as CITES animals- Appendix II I believe.

Usually it is ok to import them if they are documented aquacultured though..
I used to grow orchids and you could import protected species if the foreign facility was documented by showing pictures of their flasks etc. where they would breed the orchids.
Similar thing would hold true about the cultured clams
