Hello Ron or whomever: My wife has a pair of firefish in her 20 gallon reef tank and the pair have a home in a knot on a fake piece of wood. The female we assume has been in the knot hole for over 2 weeks and finally made an appearance today outside with the male.
My wife thinks she is going to have little ones because her stomach is quite large and looks like three-four eggs inside her. When I went over to examine her she was in the hole faster than lightning and the male followed shorly after. He circled around her a few times(I used a flashlight to see this happen in the hole) and then came back out.
Has anyone kept a pair of firefish and do they know the spawning behavior of this species? Thanks for any info on this matter. Johnny & Pat
