They call them red bubble ricordia, but they don't look like rics to me. Can anyone verify this for me, also low light or bright light?

Thanks,
Steven

The pictures are so poor I can't really tell you. Thy're dark and fuzzy - I wouldn't buy anything based on those pictures.

I dont think they are. I think I saw these on ebay too from the same seller. I emailed them asking to verify again that they are true ricordia and they never responded. There seems to be a lot of people out there now getting any type of red mushroom and selling for tons of money as a red ricorida. Sometimes the sponsors on this site have real ones for sale but i would not buy those in your pic.

NO!!! They are not ricordia!! Yes they are red and they are from the Atlantic off the coast of Florida but they are not Ricordia. They are red discosoma carlgreni mushrooms. Here is a better photo of what they look like.

They are being sold online and on Ebay as Rare Red Bubble Ricordia. Do not be fooled.

Yes, it is easy to tell by the photo. Notice how Chet's Red ricordia has bubbles and the discoma does not.

Here is Chet's ricordia:

Here is the Discoma:

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the ID Bryan, any id on care info? They look kinda cool, nice dark red. Since they are regular mushrooms i guess they would prefer low light?
