I'm look for cured live rock, something really nice, locally. I'm only buying small ammounts at a time, but I'm sick of paying 10 a lb for horrible looking rock. :( It wouldn't be so bad to pay that for nice rock, I'm out east and theres no place out here. I can go out of town if somebody could point me to some places. Or if anyone has rock for sale? Thnx Liz.

Pets Warehouse has some Aquacultured you can cherry pick. Not the cheapest, but you can see what you get.

It seems Petwarehouse (http://www.petswarehouse.com/) is no longer in bussiness:(

Try this (http://www.pets-warehouse.com/) . That one was about a domain name that used to link to the web site you actually want. Take note of the dash between "pets" and "warehouse".

Yea I was pretty impressed with Fishy Inc's rock myself. I was thinking of buying some tonga branch last time for a "bridge" I want to construct in my tank. It was nicely covered in coralline and there were some decent sized pieces. But I got my rock from justphish.com in connecticut. It's not that far (3 hours from Brooklyn). I bought about 200 pounds so I picked it up in 2 batches. Some fiji some marshall island. JP was nice enough to not make me have to drive all the way there the second time and we met at a macdonalds on exit 22 of the I-95. So that was under 2 hours. I am extremely happy with his rock, especially the marshall island.

If you are going to drive that far then you should check out Paragon Aquatics.

They are located on Sunrise Hwy between Copaigue and Amityville. Country Critters is pricey but they have some good pieces at times. I bought most of mine there at 5-10lbs at a time

"Robert Novak d/ba/ Pets Warehouse and d/b/a www.petswarehouse.com filed bankruptcy on June 2, 2003 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of New York, Bankruptcy Petition 8-03-83733-sb"

JB NY,
Take a look at my earlier post on 6/7. I've got the correct link there. The little "-" between "pets" and "warehouse" makes a big difference.:twitch:

I did drive out to Fishy inc and got a small rock, its coloring up now and has some of the best colors of coraline I have so far. With 10 % off. I forgot to ask which I got. I may drive out there again. Has anyone gotten Drs. Foster & Smith's Select Lalo Live Rock? Does it look as good as the pictures and does it keep the colors? Thnx
