I am looking to have a few acrylic sumps made for my tanks. I really dont care to have anything fancy, just functional. I am looking for someone who can build them in the area, or point me in the right direction. The sizes are 40x24x30". Thanks,

Dave

Hey Mr Changes His Mind....I thought you were going with Rubbermaid Stock tanks?

They way you keep changing your mind on things I'll be dead before these tanks are set up:D

LMAO...yeah, lots of mind changes when you have time to think and no money to spend. That kind of scenario really makes you think hard about how to optimize the setup. I am really cramped for space in my tankroom. I need to figure out ways to utilize the space as efficiently as possible. The Rubbermaids are not out of the question, but if I could find someone who builds acrylic tanks cheaply...no fancy work, just hold the water kind of thing, then I would be golden.

If I go with Rubbermaids, I will have to use a 100g and stack another tank, maybe a 70 gallon on top of that. I am still looking at other options for sumps, etc.

Dave,

I can talk to my buddy Mike Johnson (yeah the skimmer guy) and see if he would be willing to make them for you. He used to make his own tanks and wet/dry filters back in the day.

That would be cool George...no biggie if he doesnt want to though. I can pay him for materials plus his labor, if reasonable.

Dave,

Here is a pick of a small sump that Mr. trob11 made for me. Good work, honestly :)

Damn, nice work Kent!

I am not sure what I will be needing. I need to get the tanks first and see what kind of room I have left over. I need to fit a bigazz Euroreef Skimmer in one sump, probably go with a Rubbermaid for that one.

Dave, probably best if you go with Kent on this. Mike J has been more elusive the the fabled IcePick lately:)
