Destin & Panama City Florida

Anybody know of any good places to snorkel in this part of Florida?

I would like to know as well. We will be there for family vacation in July. My son (11) has never been snorkeling and he is a good swimmer.

The best places to snorkel in this area are the east jetty to the Destin Inlet (inlet side), the West Jetty (ocean side), and the grass beds called Turtle Island just inside the bay, north of the Destin Pass Bridge. Anywhere else and you are basically diving.

Monk, thank you for the info, do you snorkel in the pass itself? I snorkeled on the inside of the east jetty where it jots out into the pass a little and makes a little cove with a beach but kind of afraid to go out around the end didn't want to get into any bad current. Also went to some old pier pilings in sandestin right off the beach but that left alot to be desired.
