I read some threads that said that southdown could be found at a home depot in kohler and as well as at a store in milwaukee on port washington street. Does anyone know if there still is some at these stores? Thanks.

It is supposed to be stocked regularaly at Kohler, and my freind says he picked up 10 bags from the Home Depot in Waukesha!
i saw 5 in the trunk, so he got them somewhere!

Im pretty sure theres only one home depot, and thats over by sams Club, just north of Farm & Fleet/ Petworld

It seems that allot of stores are now carrying it. I bet it is for the fact that there was such a boom in requests for that sand it was outselling the KWIKCRETE sand. eric

Brookfield is about a hour EAST of Madison.....

Last i saw it was at the home depot in waukesha, right of 94, next to the mini golf place.....and just north of the petworld/movie theater


I havent been there in a month or so, they had a pallet earlier......it was gone last i saw

Thanks for the tip Prugs ... both Pat and I picked up Southdown at the 27th Street HD in Hales Corners today. There are probably about twenty bags left. If anyone wants some ... you'd better hurry.

The good thing with HD is that if one store does not have what you want and another does they can transfer the item or items...The Kohler HD store has Southtown sand....I had them transfer 10 bags to the east side Madison store for me to pick up. For anyone else they can send it to the HD nearest your home so you dont have to drive there...the SKU number is all they need and they make the phone call to the store that has it and voila. The sku # for ST sand is 578819.
