I know we talked about this on the forum. But my searches yielded nothing.

What's the name and address of that store on LI that sells Polypropylene tanks?

What's the difference between polyethylene and polypropylene (i know chemically but how do they react to store water in?) Is polyethylene ok to store water in?

I don't know what the difference is, but I think I meant polyethylene. So where can I buy them on LI.

I'm re-doing my RO/DI, make-up water setup. A few weeks ago I flooded my basement, again, with about 10 gallons of RO/DI when I forgot to turn off the water. I said enough is enough! So I bought a float switch and solenoid. My RO/DI unit needs to have it's DI and RO membrane replaced, and my 35 gallon trash can needs to be replaced. So I want to get a new container, drill it for a float switch, hook the RO/DI into a solenoid and hopefully my floods are a thing of the past.

I use the rubbermaid(Brute) 55g garbage can . It's supposed to be OK for food . When I first started using it my TDS count went up from the water sitting in there , and now its the same from straite out of the RO/DI to a week bieng in it . the TDS count went up aound 7 from 0 . I got that container from Lowes .
PS
The extra tds might have been from when I was putting it together or from not cleaning it well enough .

Tanks can be found at a hardware store on Sunrise Hwy, South side, West of Pets Warehouse and East of 110. Bought 3 or 4 there. No Problems :) :) Vinny

Joe:

The place is called Trade Fair. It's across the highway from Amendola's Fence Co.

Remember pure H20 from a RO/DI is an excellent solvent (im sure you know that though), should be stored with high grade food safe plastics, which I think either one of those are or both... cant remember. As for rubbermaids, the brute series are the only large ones with the food safe guarantee.

Re: Trade Fair

If you're planning on going there over the weekend, I believe they're closed on Saturdays but open Sundays.
