I think it's time to put the T5's to the test and get some more sps frags.

look like a lot of bulbs :) . The real test is to fire it up and put it over the tank. We wanna see how bright it will be. What was the total cost of your project?

Hmmm total cost?....

two IceCap 660 ballasts: whatever they cost (dont remember)

the reflectors: about $140

bulbs: about $300?

1x3's: free from my father's shop

endcaps and standoffs: dont remember but not a lot.

Im sure it was under $500

great DIY project to get all those bulbs under a canopy. Can't wait for the tank pictures. You may still have an issue about heat, they still will throw off a decent amount of it. Still can't believe the bulbs are so expensive.
