There great to have. At $49 it's even better. I paid like $120 bucks for mine 2 years ago. :mad2:

I would still double check it against a more expensive refractometer, just because its a refractometer at $42 doesn't mean its going to be anymore accurate then other salinity or specific gravity devices. Some of the more expensive units are temperature corrected or have better optics, etc.
