I am looking to add a few clams to my reef. I would prefer ultra maximas or Electric croceas around 2".

I called a store and they wanted $60 for a 2" clam.

Is that the going rate?

Any suggestions on where to look in the Chicago area?

FWIW - Harbor Aquatics (http://www.harboraquatics.com) is selling 3-4" Ultra Maximas for $70.

Sandman,

Quick, run up to Schaumburg tomorrow or Sunday and get some at the IMAC conference. Golf rd, just west of 53 in the Hyatt. Go downstairs into the exhibit area. Harbor Aquatics is there Splash of Life too and others. Clams range from $40 to $60 I think, and they are pretty decent sized.

I stopped in today on my lunch break..Very nice. Picked up a few frags.

Good luck.

Mike,

Are you saying that you don't have to pay a fee to visit the exhibits?
