View Full Version : Tran's Store...TWO THUMBS UP!

Just got back from Tran's in Fullerton, and boy was that a heckuva drive from LA! Anyways, I picked up a large purple tang and a small kole tang for 55 bux. Awesome deal, and an awesome guy to deal with. He gave me a "travelling" discount for making the trek out to his store! =D
All in all, like everyone has said in the past, I wholeheartedly endorse Tran's little "hole-in-the-wall" store as a great place to find healthy specimens for very very competitive prices. I have still yet to try out Victor's, but will probably end up driving down there one day to check out his store.

Victor just got in large shipment of corals this weekend, I was there when he unloaded it. If you like LPS, he has a bunch of killer pieces for dirt cheap prices. Too bad my tank is so small because most of his pieces are like 5"+. And there is no comparison in prices on fish, Victor is hands down the cheapest source around. Give his place a visit. It's called Reef Collection in Huntington Beach. You could probably get those two fishes for half the price or less.

LOL, Wilbur. I thought of doing that but I didn't have your contact information and made my decision to go at like 7 pm.
The other thing I forgot to mention was that Tom stayed an extra 40 minutes past his closing so I could take my time and choose which ones I wanted. I was so tempted to pick up a Red Sea Sohol Tang that he had, but remembered they were sort of hard to take care of and also that I have no job lol!
I most definitely will make the drive down to see Victor's Reef Collection!

I had my body temp taken about 6 times this week(every time I get on a flight) and I am fine. I am just using this as an excuse to take my vacation. No worries..

Tran's is probably the only place I really go to now. Great guy, great prices. I highly recommend calling him up or visiting his hole in the wall if you need something.

Victor needs to clean up his shop - badly.
'Nuff said.

I agree, I was just there yesterday, and granted there wasn't much left but the place looks almost ransacked! The fish that were there did look good, so I can't put the place down to bad. The place could use some TLC between shipments!
