I read on some other board about someone who had a trigger for 20 years. I also got to see a huge emperor angel a lady had for 18 years. Just wondering if any of you guys have any great stories like that to tell. Or maybe you have a damsel that just won't go away!

Nope... nothing that old. My Tomato Clown is about 1 1/2 years...just a baby.

However, at her current rate of growth, I calculate that in 15 years - she will be about 1.5 meters long, and weigh about 75 Lbs. ;)

9 year old pair of yellow-tailed blue damsels. The spawn very, very frequently, however, I haven't the resources to attempt to raise the fry. Fiesty 'lil buggers, but I just can't give them away.

I had a tomato clown in a fish only tank for sixteen (yes, 16) years.

I set up the 30 gal tank when I was in high school. My father kept the tank when I moved away and fed him flake food and did water changes probably at most three times a year for the next 16 years. "Sam" the clown died last year after I started bugging dad about nitrate levels and water changes. So sad.

I have a 7-8 year old Maroon clown. Deep, dark color with a single bandaid shaped gold band on her forehead. I setup a clean, reef tank exactly a year ago for her in a 75g. I am sorry to say that before that she lived for 7 years in a 30g undergravel cess pool/algae factory and lived mostly on flake food. Thank God they are hardy.

I've had a domino for about 3 years now. His dorsal fin is bent for some reason. You may have seen him on americas most wanted for what he did to another damsel.

I have a purple basslet that I have had for over 5 years and it was full grown when I bought it. That is my oldest fish.

I know this may be sacreligiuos on a saltwater/reef board but... I have had a Jack Dempsey for 12 years and he has survived 4 moves and an August ride on the autotrain. Marinewise, I have had a Kole Tang for @ 2 years. Hopefully he will be as durable as the J.D.

I have a die-hard Porites cylindrica mother colony that I have fragged from since 1989. I suspect it is at least 90 years old, based on the wild colony I sampled it from, and could be well older than that.

I cannot say I have the oldest since I have not been keeping saltwater longer than 12 years.I would have to say one of my best is a Euphyllia that grew out of a rock that is about 4 1/2 years old is about 7" when it is closed.
