One of my polyps was doing something weird earlier. Its mouth looked like it was GAPING wide open and all I saw was black. The hole was about 1/8", very small but it was right in the center so im assuming it was the mouth.... Its is now tightly closed up. Anyone ever seen anything like this? I wish I would have taken a picture.

They call those yodeling polyps. Unfortunately since they are underwater you can't hear their unique and mesmerizing song. Try a stethoscope on the glass.

Seriously, I have seen mine with their mouth(or whatever the biological term is) open and don't know why. Also, since I have been feeding mine brine shrimp and ReefPlus, they defacate long strands from the cavity.

Ok, that polyp NO LONGER EXISTS. It has appeared to disintigrated. A bit of the outer flesh is still there, but it is definatly hollowed out. All the other polyps are good, nothing else in the tank is showing ANY signs of stress. ***!
