Its a dream of mine to get some bright yellow zoo's not the kind with orange or those "weeds" that have the long edges. just a beautiful yellow sea mat. . . I seen a cluster of 4 at a reef members tank but they were not spreading and even those 4 were as pretty as I imagined. does anyone have any or know where I can aquire a frag of even like 3 or 4 polypes? I can trade or buy. . . I hope this post is ok here. . .

I have a couple of yelloe ones, with orange centers. and no they are not the annoying ones that look like yellow aiptaisa. Only problem is that they are not spreading very quickly. not sure what I am doing wrong.

thank for the link johnjr but they did not have what i was looking for hehe and all the zoo's were sold out hehe. and looper121 what kind of lighting and setup goodies are in your tank, I have really good luck getting any zoo's to grow like crazy maybe I can help, but unfortunatly those are not my deam buttons, I'm looking for ones that are all yellow, no orange, I have access to those.

I have three all yellow zoos - everyday I count them waiting for more to appear. I got them from a fellow reefer in Boston - I'll let him know your looking.

annoying ones that look like yellow aiptaisa.

I think you are talking about Parazoanthus gracilis, which I have a few of.

I got theses zoos about 4-5 months ago there were only 15 polyps on the frag when I bought them and as you can see theres a whole lot more now.

Not sure if this is the yellow zoos of your dreams or not though:)

I'm said fellow Boston Reefer with a more or less out of control colony of yellow zoanthids - by far the brightest thing in my tank when the actinics are on. If you're ever in the NH area, stop by and I'll pull out a handful for you.

I have some that are a mustard yellow, I've attached a pic for you. This is a little browner than they actually look in my tank (still trying to figure the camera out). They would be somewhat yellower in appearance with additional blue light to enhance the actinics. They are 18" under a 175W 6500k metal halide with a 55W 10K power compact and a 55W Actinic power compact.

I have some. I don't see how they could get any more yellow than this. I have a few frags with about 10 polyps each FT/FS. Email me if your interested. I've attached a picture.

These???

Another,These are about as yellow as they get.

Actually, I believe there are two diff types on there. Both stand tall but there are only a few of the ones that dont have the long tentacles. Its very hard to differentiate between them when they are all out at once.

Either way, Doesn't get much yellower than them.

Yup, I got a clam and a few other little things from you a while back. Yeah, the zoos I have aren't pure yellow, they are more like chartreuse. I don't have any to trade now, but I'll have some more in about 3 weeks. I've never really seen any zoos like them.

Ddddrgnfly: I think everyone and their brother has thjos epolyps you put a picture up of.

I have a few bright orange rim/ bright yellow centered zoos. I'll try to take a shot, but i'm sure they will come out blue like everything else with my camera

These particular zoos just started taking off for me after about 8 months of not growing, I started out with only a few, but now have probably 10-15:) I'm hoping to have enough to frag them out for trade in a couple months. :)

I have been fortunate to get ahold of true yellow zoos. The disk, tentacles and base are all yellow. I will see if I can take a picture later.

Here's a colony rock I have with some yellow and orange zoos

http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/515/167793-22-03_Yellow_-_orange_polyps.jpg

I'm going to have to break the rock sometime because it also has a very cool hitchiker coral that on the bottom left.

I like those corals. When I found my first one, it was concerning to me. Then I saw a different, but similar, one that looks closer to what you have in that pic. It started out as a single polyp the size of a pin head, and is now a colony about the size of two eraser heads. Could you get a better pic of it?

Here is a pic of my yellow zoos. It doesnt do it justice tho. Its much brighter in the tank than the camera captures. Also, its true yellow through and through :)

Enjoy!
