We did vote and approve on doing this auction and frag swap.
I will be looking to firm up a date and looking for volunteers and ideas at the next meeting.
Some of the functions we will need to fill:
Auctioneer:
Me and Ben? anyone else??
Marketing:
Someone to get flyers made and sent to local aquarium stores and do online marketing as well.
Chicago, Detroit, Lansing, Grand Rapids, South Bend, Idianapolis,
Flint, Jackson, Fort Wayne and all points inbetween.
We are central to all of them.
Someone who will contact vendors to solicit some raffle prizes.
Doorkeepers:
People to meet, greet, sign up, collect names, email addresses for future auctions.
People to sign up and give out auction numbers.
People to sign up and collect money for swap booths and auction.
People to sign up and co-ordinate bags for auction.
Runners!
Food booth workers for snack items. (if allowed)
We need a location and I will have a couple possibilities to present at the next meeting. The location needs to be cheap enough to keep our booth price low and buck a bag.
Also the location needs to be close to the freeways.
(anyone having a location idea please let me know)
Anyone have any objections to me passing out some preliminary flyers at IMAC listing October as the month??????? Perhaps the same weekend as our meeting??
