hello all
i have a 24" flourescent fixture that i want to install in my hood. at the moment, i only have a 250watt mh over my 45. its 12k. but i was thinking of adding a actinic tube to my fixture i have laying around and mount it in the hood. my reasons for this are to see the "neon" colors of the corals and also to simulate a dawn dusk effect. ideas on the best type of 20 watt actinic bulb???

I would actually go with a Coralife bulb, they seem to be very good IMO. I added a 40 watt Actinic Coralife over my 75 gallon tank for a dusk/dawn affect and the colors were awsome, everything seemed to light up and glow, it was pretty impressive.

Also, URI makes a 24" Actinic bulb which most people recomend.

thank you all. i think i am going to try the actinic 3 coralifes from hello lights. but, what should i use for moon lighting??
