Hey All-
Quick question. I am using an Eclipse 25 gal to start a FOWLR system. I want to use a skimmer, but I am having a hell of a time figuring out how to add a skimmer to this tank (which I regret buying now). I love the hood, but talk about inconvenient!

I have had this idea:
I have a 5 gallon tank that has no use to me, so I wanted to use it like a sump with the skimmer. What would be the best way to get this to work properly? I don't plan on buying a cheap skimmer, so I want to ensure that I use it for it's capabilities.

Has anyone found a good way to make these Eclipse hoods work for them?:confused:

I am not familiar with eclipse tank hoods, but why not a hang on back skimmer?

I would use a larger sump for this application, or forgo the sump altogether and use a HOB skimmer. A 5 gallon container is pretty small IMO to be very effective...can you go larger? I am not familiar with the Eclipse tank you have either.
