12K ALS users

Hello,

It's time to replace my 10k german bulb (which was OK in terms of coral growth, but alittle bit too yellow for me), is anyone using a 250watt 12K ALS bulb? Do you like it? This a sps/clam dominated reef.

The 12K is a little dim in my opinion. The color is not all that bad, but the intensity just isnt there. I would personally stick with 10k and supplement with actinic. HTH

the ALS 12k is not a great choice for the SPS keeper. I think they are fine for the LPS / softy tank.

Well I guess I'll buy another 10K (any brands you guys really like?). I'm adding 96watts of actinic so that will help somewhat with the color.

The last thing I want is a dim bulb, so I'll pass on the ALS.
