do mh,s need to be burn,t in?

I have a new 150 de mh light system and was wondering if I just hook it up and go, or does it need to be broken in before use?

Just plug it in and watch as the color of the bulb changes over a few days. Will probably not be the color you expect at first but will probably "burn in" to the proper color after 20 hours or so and the manufacturers even reccomend waiting 100 hours before you call to complain about it being the wrong color.
