Having MH problems .... need help

The fuse went out on my 150 watt HQI MH ballast ... I went to Home Depot and purchased a new fuse and since then, the light does not seem as bright as it did before... I re-checked the fuse and it is the same as the old one... any suggestions... does the fuse have anything to do with the output of the ballast...

Nope, it doesn't. The question you need to ask is why the fuse blew in the first place. Did the coil short out in the xformer? Maybe you have less windings because of it? If it is a magnetic ballast. How are you determining that its dimmer than before?
