Hi All,
So I got my SCWD and my Mag 7 now OOOooohhh AAaaahhh
And am now considering throwing in a sump. BUT I am a bit lost when it comes to looking at all of the plumbing stuff and water flow rates and pipe sizes and all of that stuff. Heck I am not even sure what questions I should be asking. Here is what I have so far:

Tank - 29G
Mag 7 pump - will be about 42 - 46 inches head pressure, not including any elbows or other interferences
DIY Overflow - from either:
http://www.reefs.org/library/diy/diy_winner1.html or
http://www.reefs.org/library/diy/diy14.html

Let me start with the DIY overflow I assume that all of the water flow has to be equal so there is no flood, or so it doesn't run dry. But how is that determined with all of this "stuff" I have got so many questions about this stuff so I will keeps this 1st post short and hopefully get some answers as we go.
Thanks for any help,
CaptK

Reefkeeping magazine just published part 2 of a 4 part series on sumps. Maybe it will help some?

Thanks! I use to have a link to a web site that had an article call "SUMPS 101" but I think that the site is gone as my link does not work anymore.
If anyone know if it has just been relocated can you post the new link for me.

Thanks,
CaptK
