Right now I have 220w of pc lighting on my 65 gal. I am purchasing a VHO lighting system from an RC member which holds 4 95w bulbs. I realize that the VHO sytem has much more wattage, but do you think this system will be a lot brighter than my PC's? Anyone?

Short answer, yes.

1) PC's lose a lot of light b/c of the bent design--about 1/3 of the light produced is reflected onto itself regardless of what type of reflector you use--obviously this is not the case in a linear bulb array

2) The 96w PC in particular, some feel is especially ineffecient

If i were to redo my lighting, (waiting on my next move), id definately try VHO's instead of my 96watt PCs. I also personally dont like the PC actinics that Im using atm. VHO brings out the color better in my opinion.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot to mention that one. Certainly there is nothing quite like the URI super actinic. The ATI T5 arctinic is close, but still isn't quite the same. PC's don't hold a candle in that arena as well.
