I am setting up a 150 rr, that will have 6/160watt URI, VHO lamps. I only have 18 inches front to back so that is all I can get in there. At this time I do not plan on using MH because it is not pratical wit the Oceanic cap, that my very understanding wife, said I wanted.
My question is: My lights will be about 3 inches above the eggcrate, I am planing on using over the tank, in place of glass. This I hope, with the help of a 55g sump and a couple of fans will keep my tank from overheating. Do I need to have some type of cover over the lights, and if so where can I order it?
