What kinds of TDS readings are you guys getting?

My tap water is measuring out at 256ppm. Not sure if that's high or low compared with other parts of St. Louis or other parts of the US.

The reading after sediment filtration and carbon filtration are about the same.. that kind of bothers me!

Reading after the RO unit is around 14 ppm.

I think the last time I looked out of the faucet I got 320.

I would think it would be the same after the sediment and carbon prefilters.

In order to get a tds reading of zero which should be your goal you need to use deionization. I think with just RO you would not get zero. My TDS measures zero after DI.

Reefer Ron is right tap in St. Louis (from the river) is about 300 ppm and RO alone will not take care of all of it DI will, also I haven't tried but some say multiple RO filtering will give you zero levels.

I took my tester to work and found that our bottled water was at 260ppm! :D I think someone is selling bottled municipal water!

My TDS reading with my Hanna Primo was 140. I live in Oakville, maybe closer to the water purification area?
